New Member Checklist

  • This includes all of the steps required to be voted in as a member in good standing. Keep this list with you and have a Board member sign off on items as you complete them.
    • Some things that you can get a head start on are:
      • Read your SOPs and By-Laws and  sign form stating that you have read.
      • Purchase or borrow your SARTEC book (See Dee, Debbie or Tom)
      • Make sure you have communicated with Debbie how you would like to receive training and mission notifications 
      • Assemble your 24 hour pack per consolidated pack list
      • Complete online FEMA IS-100.c & IS-700.b. Call if you need help.  https://training.fema.gov/is/crslist.aspx
      • GCSAR will provide the following required training’s over the next few months
        • ATV
        • Snowmobile
        • CPR
        • First Aid
        • SARTEC II & Practical Testing
  • Consolidated Pack Guide – We will fine tune this new pack list in the near future. Not all items are necessary.
